‘AN EVENING OF LAUGHTER WITH GARY McCORMICK AND MAYOR TIM.’
McCormick and Shadbolt were first thrown together in the cells at Wellington Central Police Station. “Muldoon decided to clear Parliament grounds of a Maori Tent Embassy,”says McCormick “and we both ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time. Although now we look at it as the right place at the right time !!”
The pair take a humorous approach to not only their own lives – but life in New Zealand over the past fifty years.
“We’ve managed to get in a fair few scrapes over the years – all for a good cause,” laughs McCormick (currently banned from flying on Air New Zealand for two years.) “New Zealand is a wonderful place and it is important that we keep fighting for it!”
The Mayor Tim and McCormick comedy show may be a bit different from the contemporary comedy insofar as it is “family friendly,” satirical and covers the big canvas of New Zealand life. “We’ve been lucky enough to meet some legendary Kiwi characters over the years,” says Mayor Tim, “and hear their stories. We pass the best and funniest of those on."
You want a feel-good night of fun and laughter ? This is the show!
Combine this with a delicous buffet dinner and one of the best covers bands "The Art of Cheese" and you are sure to have one of the best evenings you can remember!
We will be running raffles on the evening for Otematata's First Response Medical Team and $5 from every seat goes towards this cause.
